Roles and Responsibilities

Assistant Professor

Biography

I worked as a weave designer in the industry in Donegal, before travelling around the world. Returning to design for a vertical weaving mill in Aberdeen, I then moved into education and teaching in Galashiels.

During my time here, as well as my teaching responsibilities, I have worked on several QAA funded learning and teaching projects; have undertaken a range of textile consultancy projects; worked freelance for an agent in London; was a member of the Drawing Research Group and am a current member of the Heritage, Design, Innovation Group. I am working part-time towards a part-practice/part-written MPhil research degree, potentially leading to PhD.
