Andrew Grieve

Roles and Responsibilities

I am a lecturer who teaches marketing and marketing‐related subjects to the undergraduate and postgraduate students, across various courses. I was originally in the School of Management and Languages (for 15 years) where I was the Course Director for the MSc in Business Management with International Marketing/Human Resource Management/Finance. I transferred to the School of Textiles and Design three years ago and have now recently taken responsibility for moving forward the School’s involvement with the university’s VLE (VISION). I am part of the University’s Strategic Management Group responsible for this area.

I am also the School representative for the Undergraduate Studies Committee which meets 6 or 7 times a year. I have recently been co‐opted onto the Masters Management Group which looks at matters to do with the postgraduate taught courses. I am also the Associate Director of Combined Studies (Textiles) and look after the students who choose to take a Combined Studies degree. This role involves looking after the welfare of the students, mentoring, as well as helping them choose their programmes of study, which are individually tailored to their needs.
