Social Bite Gig

Back To Stories

As part of our Events Management course, students were briefed to carry out an ‘Apprentice’ style task. In their groups, they had to put on a real live event, donating their profits to the charities of their choice.

One group, Sophie Irving; Aoife Malone; Adele Russell and Chloe Wilkes decided to organise a gig for Social Bite – a social enterprise with a mission to build a collaborative movement to end homelessness in Scotland.

They signed up bands, LaKyoto and Dal Riata and hosted the gig at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh’s Cowgate.

With a profit of £500 for Social Bite, the evening was a great success and looks like a lot of fun too.

Well done to all of the students for pulling this off and watch this space for more news on these projects.
