Anna Cuinu, a 2018 graduate in MA Knitwear, has won another award for her tactile tartan, this time from the Society of British and International Design – in their Design for Business Student Competition. Anna won the Fashion Design category and a £1000 prize.
Anna has gained a lot of attention for her final collection, which was designed for those with visual impairment, using wooden Feelipa buttons, developed to communicate garment colour. Anna worked with the RNIB when developing the range and her collection was widely reported in the media in the summer, (BBC; The Herald; Daily Record; Edinburgh Live).
Anna is now working at Barrie in the Scottish Borders.
Congratulations, once again Anna, from all of us at the School of Textiles and Design.
