Our three week Fashion Events Promotion/Internship, running in July, gives a unique opportunity to work with leading fashion brands to plan and deliver a high-end fashion event. This three week course satisfies the requirement for internship credits and is worth six US credits. It will give you real live experience that will enhance your skills and look great on your résumé.
Fashion Industry Experience
Each Summer students collaborate with a commercial client to solve a real fashion industry problem, and will plan and develop a high end fashion event for that client. The industry client changes every year as does the project brief that the students have to deliver. In July 2016, students collaborated with leading luxury knitwear designer, Eribe to promote their collections at the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival.
Through the delivery of this project students develop skills in visual merchandising, fashion communication, CAD, event planning and fashion branding. All teaching is informed by the latest industry practice and the programme will include visits to local textile mills which manufacture for international brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Vivienne Westwood.
