Dr Timo Rissanen is a Zero Waste Pioneer author and Assistant Professor of Fashion Design and Sustainability, Parsons School of Design, New York.
Timo’s lecture will be: ‘What is Fashion Good for?’ skyping in from New York. He is an Australian-trained Finnish fashion designer, whose design practice is grounded in creative approaches to pattern cutting. His research centers on fashion and sustainability, where fashion is integral to the everyday experience of living. Creating a fashion system that enriches humanity is a task for us all.
He has co-authored two books, Shaping Sustainable Fashion- Changing the Way We Make and Use Clothes and Zero Waste Fashion Design.
