Fashion Marketing and Retailing is where business meets fashion. This course has a great reputation within the fashion industry for nurturing strong commercial skills and producing top quality graduates.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of the business functions plus the creative and technical sides. The School of Textiles and Design run interdisciplinary projects with other courses that closely mimic industry and you would have the opportunity to take part in these. This way of working develops essential skills which simulates the way that much business is carried out

 

As a Fashion Marketing and Retailing student you will develop a more detailed exploration of management issues relating to the areas of buying and merchandising, fashion supply chain management and digital fashion commerce.

Our current students are taking part in a live industry project with Findra, who design and sell award winning bike wear and outdoor apparel for women. They have been set a brief to develop a 12 month marketing plan for the company. Like many of our industry contacts, Findra’s founder and owner is a previous student here at the School. The students benefit immensely from this type of work as it equips them with the skills they’ll use in the workplace.
